Rhythm
You can achieve rhythm in a web page design by repeating elements. These can be headings, shapes, colours, images.
Repeating shapes
Shapes, rectangles, squares, tabs, lines...
Using the same sized image for each image on the page is one way to achieve repetitive rhythm.
Using definition lists, styled with background images, padding and type styles you can achieve a similar rhytm to this section of the home page of Ecoki
Andy Clarke purports in his book, Transcending CSS, that using lists styled in this way is a better way to design a web page.
