Redesign or not?

Redesigning a site can be fraught with difficulties. The client wanted the ‘feminine touch’, because she felt that the old version “looked like it had been designed by a man”.

She chose me from a list of bids because I put my picture up so she could see who she was dealing with, she apparently didn’t look at my portfolio!

What is ‘the feminine touch’?

It turns out that what I thought is that it would be flowers, pretty, or romantic…

…instead, it seems the owner of the business wanted something else entirely.

Porting the old styles to Joomla! 1.5

Ozquilt committee members didn’t like the big change in the look of the site, so I’ve had to seriously alter the stylesheets for the Beez template.

The site will only look slightly different - very subtle differences.

I said once to the website editor from Ozquilt when we were restyling the site before - we should only make small changes at a time so they don’t notice.

Should have taken my own advice!
